Project overview
Located in the northern part of Bengaluru, Hebbal Lake has a 1300-year-old historical significance to the city. The precinct reflects interconnected challenges and opportunities for the area including the city’s significant lake system, interstate transit hub and underutilized public space. Research and design interventions for the Hebbal Lake precinct focus on three distinct challenges:
Transforming connectivity and mobility in the precinct
Building public connection with a significant ecological asset
Improving safety, use and access to underutilized public space
